Baikal Ice Golf takes place since 2004. In 2017 Competition Committee announced that World Ice Golf Cup 2020 will take place at Baikal. In that year the first eliminatory tournament of World Ice Golf Cup. The winner Eom Keeyoung - consul General of Korean republic in Irkutsk got the first ticket for World Cup in 2020.

The uniqueness of this event that competition is organized directly on Baikal ice above hundreds meters of water. Its thickness can reach 80 centimeters to the middle of March. But the most attractive is Baikal Ice Golf is international golf community in very interesting place, unique beauty of Siberian nature. Huge size of Baikal, spectacular views, fantastic transparent ice, mystique ice caves and great energy of Power Place.

Participants all over the world take part in Baikal Ice Golf. Every participant can compete in professional or newcomer tournament depending on his qualification. All female or male participants at the age of 12 can take part in this competition. It doesn’t matter whether he or she can play golf or not, all participants will enjoy this activity. For any player ice golf is a new and unusual experience.

Международные ХVI соревнования по ледовому гольфу проводятся в соответствии с Регламентом и правилами соревнований разработанными Федерацией Гольфа Иркутской области, Положением о проведении соревнований и Местными правилами, утвержденными приказом Федерации Гольфа Иркутской области № 117 от 17 марта 2019 г. Формат игры: строукплэй, на 9 лунках, без учета гандикапа. Трасса ледового гольф поля 2020 м (по кругу).
